Dr Sophie Chatterton

Dr Sophie Chatterton graduated with an MD with Distinction from the University of NSW in 2015 and later completed a Masters of Internal Medicine with Distinction at the University of Sydney in 2019. She is a Fellow with the Australasian College of Physicians and Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, having completed her neurology speciality training at St Vincent’s Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. As part of her physician training, Dr Chatterton also worked in Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga, and has a passion for providing equal access to healthcare in regional and remote locations. Dr Chatterton completed a neuroimmunology fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital, with a special emphasis on diagnosis and management of multiple sclerosis as well as other neuroinflammatory disorders, with significant experience in stem cell transplantation at both St Vincent’s Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital. Dr Chatterton has previously been a Conjoint Associate Lecturer with the University of NSW, and has published over twelve papers in renowned peer-reviewed journals.
