Dr Aicee Calma

Aicee completed her Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree at the Australian National University in 2015. She completed her Neurology specialty training at The Canberra Hospital, Calvary Hospital, Concord Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She has also completed additional training as a Neuromuscular and Neurophysiology Fellow at Concord Hospital where she had a broad exposure to acquired and genetic neuromuscular disorders. As part of her fellowship, she had further training in neurophysiology - particularly with experience in repetitive nerve stimulation, single fibre EMG, and evoked potentials - as well as exposure to Neuroimmunology, and botulinum toxin therapy for migraine, hyperhydrosis and movement disorders. She was a previous Clinical Associate Lecturer at the Australian University Medical School, having been heavily involved in medical student teaching. She is currently completing her PhD research at the Brain and Nerve Research Centre at Concord Hospital, with her research focusing on biomarkers in motor neuronopathies.
She is interested in all aspects of general neurology with a particular subspecialty interest in peripheral nerve and neuromuscular disorders, nerve conduction studies, and botulinum toxin therapy.
