DR CARRIE HURELBRINK

Dr Carrie Hurelbrink has been a Staff Specialist Neurologist at Concord Repatriation General Hospital since 2013 and is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney.  Her final year of neurology registrar training was at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square in London, UK, with a specific focus on movement disorders, deep brain stimulation and headache. She has completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge investigating neural transplantation as a treatment for Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases. Dr Hurelbrink has particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of Parkinson’s disease, tremor and other movement disorders. She is the lead clinician for the Concord Parkinson’s Disease Multidisciplinary clinic and has extensive experience in the initiation of continuous Levodopa infusions for advanced Parkinson’s disease. In addition, she is highly skilled in the management of headache, and administration of Botulinum toxin therapy for chronic migraine, bruxism, axillary hyperhidrosis and movement disorders.
