Dr Sophie Waller

Sophie practices at Sharp Neurology, and is an HMO neurologist at Prince of Wales Hospital and Conjoint Lecturer in the School of Medicine at the University of New South Wales. Sophie completed dual fellowships in movement disorders and clinical neurophysiology at Westmead and Prince of Wales Hospitals, and has a research interest in Parkinson’s Disease and related disorders. She is currently completing a PhD investigating biomarkers in parkinsonian syndromes through the UNSW. Her specialty interests include Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders, and clinical neurophysiology. She has additional training in:

-Use of device-assisted therapies for Parkinson’s disease

-Botulinum toxin therapies for migraine, spasticity and movement disorders

-Nerve conduction studies for carpal tunnel, peripheral neuropathy, and other peripheral nerve disorders
